Aegean Experienced

The Aegean Sea, as every sea, is not characterized so much by its consolidated qualities as by its innumerous potentials. It is an archipelago that is continuously changing forms and, at its turn, forms the life that it embraces. It features though an additional peculiarity since it is bathed by the East Mediterranean light. Seven artists illustrate the way they experienced this conjunction, composing with their images a multi-perspectival transcendental narrative.

Participants: Stratis Vogiatzis, Yiorgis Yerolymbos, Dimitris Kleanthis, Costas Masseras, Thekla Malamou, Socrates Baltagiannis, Emmanouil Papadopoulos.

Curator: Stella Pekiaridi

AEGEANALE 2013
True Romance

Aegeanale presents the new photo exhibition by Nikos Rakkas titled TRUE ROMANCE.
The exhibition takes place in premises of the brand new exhibition space LOVED of Paroikia, Paros island from August 1st to 23rd, 2013.

In his new project, Nikos Rakkas, brings again into life his favorite playmobil models from his personal collection!

This time the playmobils are the real-like romantic heroes which live next to us, in cities and in beautiful seas.

The photographer aims, as always, to play with different scales, in order to include his favorite figures in natural landscapes without any technical means.
